McNeill & Friends

Malcolm McNeill with Terry Crayford and John Charles, Kapiti Playhouse Theatre, 4th May @ 8pm.

Tickets $25 from John Govier, phone 9052612.

Malcolm McNeill is regarded as NZ’s foremost interpreter of the GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK.

His reputation extends well beyond NZ – and he has performed at festivals and concerts all over the world from New York, London, Tokyo, Paris, Bombay and Australia and New Zealand.

President Bill Clinton said of Malcolm’s singing – “that’s my kind of music and my kind of singer”.

Malcolm recorded frequently for the BBC in London – and ABC in Australia. He has 10 recordings including a duet album with Kiri Te Kanawa – who describes Malcolm as a ‘great artist’ in his own right.

Take this rare opportunity to hear Malcolm in concert as he teams up with long time musician friends Terry Crayford and John Charles, in a programme of songs of Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, George Gershwin and Randy Newman and others.
