Book Ends by Roger Hall – Auditions await!
Every Tuesday morning, members of the all-male Cabin Fever Club meet for coffee at The Sour Dough Café. All Gold Card holders, they are literary types: a former editor, a freelance writer, an actor, a novelist, a playwright and a formerly famous poet.
They are cantankerous, opinionated, envious, erudite, insecure and often amusing. What binds them together is their mutual love of books. But how long are books going to last?
This is your chance to be part of the cast for what is sure to be a funny & popular show – Roger Hall’s Book Ends. The cast includes six men (in the play they are all over 60), and one woman (in her late 40s).
If this sounds like an opportunity you don’t want to miss, perusal scripts can be obtained from Paper Plus, Coastlands, and auditions are being held at Kapiti Playhouse Theatre, 7 Ruahine Street, on September 27th at 2pm. There is no need to pre-book your audition – simply turn up on the day and give it your best shot.
If acting on stage is not your thing, then we are also always looking for people to assist backstage. If you’d like to lend your hand to something, then please make contact with Liz Alpine to let her know. She can be contacted via email at president [at] kapitiplayhouse [dot] org [dot] nz
Production dates are 25th November to 5th December.
If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
