Interested in theatre lighting but don’t know where to start? If so, then come along to our Lighting for Beginners course.

In this one day course, we will be covering everything you need to know as a beginner including:

• Types of fixtures (how and what they do)
• Gels and Lighting hardware
• DMX Theory
• Control circuitry & signal flow
• General electrical theory & safety using a lighting desk
• Safe working practice
• Basic lighting design ideas

The course is being held at Kapiti Playhouse Theatre, 7 Ruahine Street, Paraparaumu. Tea & coffee will be provided but lunch is BYO.
